I made this relief carving based on a tumbleweed I picked up years ago on a little day trip. I live where it's super windy, dry, and when it's "tumbleweed season" it's crazy how they blow around like wild animals! Fences bend under the weight of the collected tumbleweeds and it's common to see them blowing across the road like an old Western movie. I love it.
This is a 5"x5" birch wood cradle panel stamped with my carved block. The wood is left natural on the front but I mask off and paint the sides using artist quality spray paints that have excellent, vibrant colors. Because I'm using ink and not paint (or relief print ink that you roll on)- the impressions are not as solid black, which I actually love because it leaves the design with a texture fitting to these desert dwelling plants.
I affix sawtooth hangers and bumper guards to the back for hanging, and sign and date with pencil.
Because I offer so many color choices, I do not have these pre-made. They're made to order and can take up to two weeks for me to get them finished and off in the mail!
Please select the color choice from the drop down menu. NOTE: the electric pink and electric green do not show well on monitors- they are FLUORESCENT. Bright!!
